Extent of the grants

Within the most subsidiary purpose, it is the intention of Allerfonden that 10 to 15 scholarships are awarded annually, depending on the number of suitable candidates and the costs associated with the individual scholarship, etc. It is expected that in future, scholarships will be awarded for approximately DKK 800,000 annually on average for the most subsidiary purpose.

Grants in 2021/22

In the summer of 2021, the foundation made another grant to DMJX, this time for the amount of DKK 348,250 to partly cover DMJX's costs of a new research project under the name "Micro payments and Datawalls". This project will be implemented as from the autumn of 2021 and run until the spring of 2023. The project is divided into three separate phases, all of which are covered by the fund's grants.

In addition, in 2021/22, the foundation decided to award 14 new scholarships to:

School of Visual Arts (SVA) Type Lab in New York, USA, where the 14 recipients will be nominated in the spring of 2022 and will primarily consist of graduates from the recognised educational institutions, DMJX and UC South in Denmark and Berghs in Sweden.

Grants in 2020/21

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, in 2020/21 it was not possible to implement the usual educational programmes at educational institutions in the USA. The foundation has therefore instead in September 2020 chosen to make a grant of DKK 340,000 to the Danish School of Media and Journalism (DMJX) to partly cover DMJX's costs of the "Business models and future prospects for the Danish podcast market" research project. This project will be implemented as from the autumn of 2020 and run until the end of 2021. The project is divided into four separate parts, all of which are covered by the approved grants.

Grants in 2019/20

In 2019/20, the Allerfonden awarded scholarships to:

School of Visual Arts (SVA) Type Lab in New York, USA.

The following recipients:

  • Matilda Svensson
  • Mia Tollaksvik
  • Casper Langelund Jensen
  • Lina Bach Poulsen
  • Tove Andersson
  • Emilia Bjurström
  • Blagoy Nikolaev Hristov

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it was not possible for the educational institution in question in the USA to implement the approved education programme, so that all recipients have been notified in writing that the grant has been extended to 2021, and all the recipients concerned will have the opportunity to implement the programme in the summer of 2021. If it is still not possible to implement the programme in 2021, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the scholarships will be extended once again, so that they can hopefully be implemented in the summer of 2022.
